Women in Leadership

Three Pinehurst students celebrated International Women's Day by attending a Women in Leadership breakfast hosted by University of Canterbury. The students had the opportunity to spend the morning with students from other schools, discussing what leadership means to them and sharing stories of encouraging moments.

Three key speakers presented at the event: Emily Gualter - an engineer in Arrowtown; Aja Trinder who discussed how overcoming challenges can sometimes mean getting the basics right and embracing embarrassment; Sharon Zollner who spoke about utilising the networks you have and giving it a go. It was a fantastic morning empowering the next generation of leaders.
