Senior College Students Top World; Successful Cambridge International Examination (CIE) Results

Pinehurst Senior College students and staff continue to celebrate examination success this week with three students achieving top in the world in Cambridge International Examinations and a continued 100% pass rate in A Level examinations.

Senior College students Taylor Wickman topped the world in AS Design and Technology, Chelsea Finlayson in IGCSE Enterprise and Michelle Yip also achieved top in the world in IGCSE Environmental Management. This is an incredible feat given the strong international competition.

Pinehurst results have improved year upon year with Senior College A Level students achieving a 100% pass rate for continuous years running.

Headmistress of Pinehurst Senior College Ms Jacqueline White was thrilled with the recent October-November round of Cambridge International Examination (CIE) results which were officially announced late January.

“As one of the few CIE schools that requires all our students to sit these exams (instead of NCEA), it is heartening to see how well the students perform year after year. These statistics are proof, if it were needed, that CIE is accessible to all students,” said Ms White

Ms White will also be the Master of Ceremonies at the CIE Outstanding Achievement Awards to be held at Auckland Grammar School on Thursday 16 February. This event is the academic highlight of the CIE year.

Congratulations to all Pinehurst students and teachers for yet another successful year of results.
