Girls Hockey Tournament

Author -  Shannon Sager

The girls had an excellent experience playing competitive hockey for the Kate Trolove Cup in Tauranga. The girls came up against schools from Bream Bay, Katikati, John Paul, Howick and Takapuna College during the week.
There was lots of screaming and laughter when the girls realised after each game they would be completing 5 minute colds in the sea as part of recovery.
The talent in the girls and the improvements in the way they played individually and as a team was outstanding. This will be a team other schools should watch out for as they are still very young and building upon skill and experience each year.
The overall player of the tournament went to Rebecca Botica.
